Rasheed Sarumi
Rasheed Sarumi is a graduate of Agricultural Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and an alumnus of the Harvard and Lagos Business Schools. He drove the growth of Saro Agrosciences as the pioneer Managing Director from inception in 1991 till 2010. He is currently using his exemplary leadership skills as an executive director of Saroafrica International.
Rasheed was previously the President of Crop Life Nigeria, a professional trade group representing the plant science industry in Nigeria from 2008 to 2010. He was also a member of the Vision 2020 Implementation Committee.
He and his spouse Toyin, established “Youth Advocacy for Social Change Foundation”. The current activities of the foundation are focused on the pioneer programme; “1000 Change Agents” which is geared at supporting deserving indigent students, from the senior secondary school level, through to the successful acquisition of a graduate degree.
