The Carat brand was further extended into Carat liquid Antiseptic in the year 2017 with the role of providing families and home with an all round protection against germs Despite the age-long heritage, the brand has been plagued by consistent unavailability, among other factors.

This has significantly eroded its equity, a situation that has created the need for rebranding.
